aahhhh this is just so great. Shane and Ilya, who never reconnected after Shane ran away, meet again a couple years later--this time with Ilya as assistant coach to the Centaurs. Such great character work and chemistry for both of them...a little bit wiser, a lot more open, and very determined not to repeat the mistakes of the past. The Centaurs and other supporting characters are wonderful, too.
