Summary
Two weeks have passed since James and his crew left London. Two weeks of mourning, worrying for the injured and in every aspect, moving forward.
Very soon, the journey towards The New World gives room for underlying curiosity, conflicts, vulnerable discoveries and hidden desire. My main focus is James and Lorna (building a relationship/sexual tension/redemption) while developing the father and son relationship between James and Robert.
James' love for Zilpha will be addressed in later chapters, along with Godfrey's feelings for James. Here's a quick look into some of the “themes” of my story! ⚓❤️
Intimacy goes hand in hand with trust and vulnerability.
It's admitting you're wrong after an argument.
It's about asking for forgiveness - or forgiving.
It's being scared together, but trying to be brave together.Songs chosen carefully to create my own story soundtrack! 🎶

Summary
He was dying. It settled into the diseased creases of his brain the way every other detail and fact and plan did; it wasn’t unexpected information. He’d known something sat altered above his head for a while. Lied to Lizzie, about the crossing. Had been waking up pinned to the floor by ache and fatigue and dull metal in his mouth for months now, the death he’d wanted to die four years ago (and still, on some level, still) momentarily catching up with him. He’d be breathing like an unfit yearling running its first sprints, harsh, ragged pants, sweat sliding down his face. Barely able to talk the first few minutes. Certainly not able to stand. Tell me, Polly, is that the situation of a healthy man?
Death being what it was, he went to Margate.
