The little object was a golden yellow, a detailed, dark, swirling like creature painted on it. The eyes of the monster were staring right into Ness, a shiver creeping up his neck. Although, he felt strangely seen. It’s quite unnerving. Abruptly, he turned it around and was greeted by a bee and a honeycomb pattern.
On one of the drums lied a pair of drumsticks. They were made out of metal, a pretty silver one. Engraved at the thicker end of the stick was a pattern of roses, vines, and tiny stars that glitter in the light.

Hold and release.Their first few weeks together with Uruha had been awkward. Neither the squad nor Uruha knew how to behave around the to other. It had let to multiple situations, where either party had been embarrassed. One of them had been when the squad had joined Uruha at his bath in the hot spring. Some had stayed outside of the water while Bandana had dropped himself right beside Uruha, keeping a few meters of respectable distance.

A shock of red hair appeared in his field of vision. Zanka blinked and suddenly every single nerve in his body was on fire. He gasped, choking on thick blood that dribbled from the corners of his mouth. Tears welled up in the corners of his eyes and slipped down his cheeks as he scrabbled, digging his nails into the hard ground beneath, not even feeling them rip and drip blood onto the already stained ground he laid on.
“Hey, Zanka, no, no, don’t do that.” The head of red spoke softly. It was Riyo, Zanka realised. She took one of his hands in hers and squeezed tightly, brushing his hair back with her other hand. He realised, abruptly, that her hand was shaking.
“I’m dying.” He whispered, the realisation and severity of the situation hitting him all of a sudden. “Riyo… Riyo, I’m dying.”
