Summary
“I don’t understand you at all.” He says it quietly, like it’s more for himself than for Hanbin’s ears.
Which surprises him for two reasons. One: Hanbin has always considered himself a rather open book, and two: the feeling is mutual. He doesn’t understand why Zhang Hao does anything he does. It started even before the whole — bar/vampire thing. Zhang Hao has confounded him since the day they first met.
“What about me?”
“Your eagerness. Your tenacity. Both, together.” He pauses, drums the counter in an unstable rhythm with his fingers. “Any normal person would have run away screaming by now. But you…” He turns to look at him. “You just won’t give up.”
Hanbin is trying to escape -- from his job, from his family, from himself -- so he moves to a new town. But he's greeted with disappearances and odd occurrences in forests and a weird neighbor who seems to be hiding something.
Hanbin is learning his lesson all too quickly: there are some things you can't run from.

Summary
This is a love that has hooks in him, lodged in bone, and Hanbin doesn’t know how to extract them. Doesn’t even know if he wants to. He’s so angry at Zhang Hao for leaving and he’s so angry at himself for breaking the little of them that was left, but the love lingers.
The love—the tattered, agonizing, echoes of it the bond sustains—is all he has now. He’ll cling until it finally crumbles to dust between his fingers.
Eight years ago Hanbin and Zhang Hao formed a soul bond that wasn't enough to keep them together. Now here they are, crashing into each other's orbits again.

Summary
Hanbin is the leader of the local exorcists' guild, and as Halloween nears, supernatural activity is picking up. There's much to do and many monsters to fight, but what worries Hanbin more than anything is how he'll be able to handle talking to Zhang Hao, the head of the magic technicians helping them through this night.
Things would be much easier if he hadn't been Hanbin's obsession since he was a child.
___
"I would never hurt you, either.”
“No, you wouldn’t,” Zhang Hao quietly agreed. “You’re too kind.”
“Even if I used you,” Hanbin added.
“Even if you used me.”

Summary
The night air carries the sound of forest life, a stark contrast to the eerie silence inside. The autumn birds sing a sleeping song, the few cicadas mournfully croaking a lament of summer, persuaded into death by the cool air and turning trees.
There’s a bright light shining deep in the woods.
Hanbin blinks.
It’s gone.
There’s a god in the small town that Sung Hanbin moves to to take back his life.

Summary
“I won’t be the thing that makes your choice harder,” Hanbin replies, his gaze fixed on some distant space in the dark. “You’ve already made it. What good would fighting do, except make you hate me on your way out?”
I could never hate you, Hao thinks, the words screaming in his mind. It is cruel that Hanbin believes the same—that even now, even here, Hao is still being loved with unbearable generosity—one so vast it feels like condemnation. It is the ultimate confirmation of every fear Hao has ever had: that Hanbin’s love is a boundless, self-erasing thing, and Hao is its most unworthy recipient.
Alternatively: Zhang Hao and Sung Hanbin are roommates. They are also exes. It goes about as well as you expect.
