Sometimes it’s easy. Way too easy to find things to like. For example, the guy that just barrelled through the door, almost sending the bell flying has a smattering of freckles on the bridge of his nose and freckles are one of MJ’s favourite things. And that isn’t even the best thing about him.

Tony woke up with a start, sitting up straight - Pepper stirring slightly in her sleep. His heart was racing, taking deep breaths as he tried to calm down.
Ten years since he’d held Peter in his arms, feeling him fade away into nothing - his last words before he did still ringing in his ears.
It was unfathomable, a living nightmare at the idea that Peter had been scared as he crumbled away into dust - Tony being completely powerless to stop it.
Ten years since his greatest nightmare had come true.

Tony falls at Peter’s side, feeling his heart hammering away in his chest with adrenaline as he looks down at the kid, who’s blankly up at the sky, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. Fear shoots through Tony when he sees that the kid’s face is an angry red and beginning to swell up.
“Peter! Peter!” He yells as he shakes, only to get a choked wheeze in response. “Kid what’s wrong? Talk to me.” Tony pleads, carefully holding the teen’s face in his hands.
Peter’s eyes slide over and met Tony’s, only to feel his blood run cold when he sees the pure terror in the teen’s eyes.

“What’s your name again?” she asks, not because she doesn’t know (she does) but because she needs another moment to puzzle out what sort of response this kid is looking for from her.
“Peter Parker,” he tells her with a smile.
“You’re kinda morbid, Peter Parker,” she deadpans.
His face immediately falls, and Michelle doesn’t need to be good at reading people in order to see the obvious guilt in his eyes. It takes her aback a little bit.
“I’m so sorry, I was just-- I didn’t mean to--”
“It’s refreshing,” she cuts him off before thinking it through, just so he’ll stop spiraling towards a conversation that she’s pretty sure neither one of them want to have. A pity party for grief-stricken children on the floor of a dance studio.
