Phainon stills. No one knows of his secret affection for the other warrior, something he thought he was rather decent at hiding—behind sly teasing and cautious touches. If Mydei and the other heirs weren’t aware of it, then least of all would a random street peddler know of his desire.
“I’m not sure that particularly suits my fancy,” He looks around the table and picks up a chiseled marble pot, “How about this?”
The peddler laughs, harsh and dry, “I know what lies deep within your heart,” The pot in his hand poofs and the plushie sits on his palm in its place, staring at him with its judgemental sewn eyes. “30 balance coins and a lock of your hair.”
Phainon is sold a plushie in Mydei's image, little does he know that anything that happens to it, happens to Mydei as well.
