Summary
Apollo had always left before he woke up, usually accompanied with a note or a text with a smile and maybe some dollar bills for compensation for the bags that Klavier had been required to buy that week. A loose term of “required” of course, with Klavier being insistent on it, and Apollo paying him the rounded amount the next morning.
He always slipped in the money when he came to annoy the defense attorney at the Wright Anything Agency.
As much as Klavier wanted to stay in this moment forever, he knew he couldn’t. He knew responsibility for more than anyone else - taking up the reality of everything, whether you wanted it or not.
Needing to face the truth. He had learnt that the hard way.
(or, Apollo stays the night after finding the truth of the matter)
