Summary
The second lieutenant of the Shie Hassaikai yakuza group is known to others only as 'the Caretaker.' A rather enigmatic and highly intelligent member of the family, not much is known about him outside of a select circle of trusted friends and, of course, the Shie Hassaikai itself. But to those who know him, the Caretaker is simply this: a young man who cares for his family more than anything else.
Because the Caretaker is one Midoriya Izuku, and he did not start out that way... at first, he was just a babysitter.

A series revolving around an AU I started in my fic, 'more than you hoped to be.' Originally only intended to be one fic, but it somehow sprung up into two! I might also include some other supplementary bits in this series as well, like scrapped scenes or character profiles for some of the characters in the fics, if people are interested in that sort of thing.

Summary
After the Shie Hassaikai's involvement at Kamino Ward, things have changed drastic ways. All for One is dead, and someone must fill the void he left behind. While people scramble to grab power in the vacuum, something is brewing where most heroes do not tread: heroes are working with yakuza, the yakuza are making moves unheard of since the rise of All Might, and ahead, the enemy known as the Hero Public Safety Commission awaits them both.
The Caretaker of the Shie Hassaikai will certainly have a lot he must care for in the days to come.

Hizashi nodded. It made sense, the prejudice against mental quirks, especially one as strong as mind control, was high. “Okay. What did you want to do?”

Summary
He charged forward, catching Aizawa around the waist and attempting to throw him from the ring. At the last moment though the darker boy wrapped his legs around his chest and twisted his hips, throwing Hizashi off balance. He released his hold and Aizawa flipped over his shoulders, pushing him as he did.
Aizawa landed back on his feet behind him.
Hizashi fell face-first out of the ring. When he looked back up his eyes met the dark-haired boy’s and his heart stopped. Oh. Maybe he hadn’t just fallen from the ring.
“Shouta Aizawa wins!”

When the gen ed kid transfers to the hero course Hizashi is determined to befriend him. With Oboro's help, he succeeds. This is how that friendship changed and survived the test of their high school years. Between Oboro's death and Shouta's parents, they had their fair share of struggles, but they also had each other. Their friendship. Their feelings. Their own found family.

Maybe he could even talk his way into another uniform to make the rotation easier. Yeah, that could work.
“Shinsou?” An eerily familiar voice called.
And just like that his carefully crafted plan fell apart. In the entrance to the alleyway stood his mentor, a can of cat food in his hand and a mildly surprised expression on his face.

~ After being effectively friend-dumped by Azula, Mai decides to catch up with an old friend; due to scheduling issues, she ends up meeting a new friend too.
~ Zuko didn't plan on his best friend meeting his boyfriend to go this well. On the one hand it's great, but on the other hand, he doesn't get along with Mai this well. It's worrisome.
~ Of all the things Jet had on today's agenda, being harassed by the personified spirit of Edgar Allen Poetry wasn't the one he expected to accomplish. Go figure.
