  2. Summary

The post-war future that Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks deserved to have. Technically book-canon compliant (all canon details accounted for) — see stories "By a Thread" and "Commemoration" for what really (ha) happened on the night of the Battle of Hogwarts.

    Summary

The thief sat up sharply, trembling as a wave of dizziness washed over him. There was no blood, nor did he see the charred skin of a recent cauterization. The skin on the stump of his arm was unbroken and callused. He thought briefly of the leather straps that had held him to the chair in the dungeons. But neither the healing nor the calluses he’d seen could have developed overnight.
How long had it taken? Months? Surely not more than a year. Please, gods, tell me I didn’t lose a year of my life in Attolia’s dungeons.
And why couldn’t he remember anything after that gods-damned sword?
