Against his back, Neuvillette presses into him. At his front, the fire warms his face, his nose. They’re in nothing but thin shirts, no pants, and Neuvillette’s purrs don’t let up as he presses his cheek into the curve of Wriothesley’s shoulderblade.
It’s soothing. Relaxing. They have nowhere they have to be; there is nothing they have to do. It’s just them, the fireplace, and their hard-earned vacation.
Neuvillette and Wriothesley indulge in each other’s company after an exhausting day in the snow.

Summary
Wriothesley was the opposite of everything attractive in an omega. He was tall, muscular, and scarred all over. His demeanor was intimidating, and he didn’t even have much of a scent thanks to his mangled gland done by his own hand. Overall, no alpha would ever want him which suited him fine because he'd never look for one anyway.
Meanwhile, Neuvillette’s progress in courtship had stalled, and it’d probably stall for the rest of Wriothesley’s life if he didn’t find a way to break through his greatest obstacle in courting him: Wriothesley himself.

Summary
Panic overtakes him. His body—he raises a hand to push Wriothesley off, and scales wink at him, accentuated by ragged nails, dripping with seaweed—so he draws back, but there’s nowhere to hide, nowhere to put his hands so that Wriothesley does not see. The blanket tears under his grip, paper-thin, and instead of feathers, sand pours out, and it does not stop. It falls into his mouth as he gasps, cradling his body, and he’s sinking into it, choking on it.
After regaining his Sovereignty, Neuvillette cannot stop his churning desires from manifesting into a dream.
