You sense movement, and then a hand wraps around your wrist, pulling you towards the wall. A quick, terrifying whirr of the sonic briefly illuminates wood paneling and, crucially, the flash of a metal doorknob, and then the light and sound both fade and the Doctor is pulling you after her into the gap of a cracked door. The Doctor pulls the door shut, adding in an almost inaudible and completely unnecessary “shh”, something you feel more than hear because you are, presently, pressed completely and totally against her. Something brushes your face, soft and curling and smelling like lavender. Her hair. You think you might pass out.
OR: tracking down anomalous energy readings, the reader and the doctor assume the stolen identities of political delegates at an intergalactic peace summit and undercover a conspiracy meant to de-rail the future. hijinks include snooping, investigating, hiding in a (literal) closest and kidnapping. also, turns out you're supposed to be a married couple. good luck!

Summary
Canon Divergence AU wherein the episode ‘the God Complex’ did not happen for 11/Amy/Rory, but instead for 13/Yaz/Dan. After the events of ‘Eve of the Daleks’, the Doctor intends to make good on her promise to ‘tell [Yaz] everything’, and perhaps an emotional confession. Yaz is delighted to hear as much, but also anxious over what might be said, especially after Dan gave her the push to confront her own feelings about the ineffable alien.
Before they can land in San Munrohvar, however, the TARDIS is dragged off-course into a mysterious, unfathomable, and inescapable hotel. Will Yaz and the Doctor hold their nerves through the terrifying ordeal of the Minotaur, and come out the other side on top? Or will it tear them apart?
Plot very closely follows the real episode, but with a strong focus on 13 and Yaz's relationship throughout.

Summary
Miraculous Ladybug is a show with fundamental issues and its canon origin for the characters does not escape from being problematic. So out of my disappointment, and with a sprinkle of inspiration, I rewrote the origin story into something I think would be more enticing as a show. And in the process of rewriting the origins, a new story enfolds entirely.
Titled "Bonds Beyond Fate" instead of "Ladybug," I wanted to highlight that the story is about more than just Marinette, but also about everyone involved in these fateful, tangled situations.
So, strap in! It's gonna be an interesting ride!
