Summary
Two years have passed and Mai is now a senior in high school. Over the years, she lost contact with the rest of SPR but she never truly left the psychic world. A chance meeting will reunite her with the team but Mai isn't the same as when they parted. A lot can change in two years.

So it becomes a thing. ‘It’ being Buck coming the next night with an overnight bag, and then the night after that. ‘It’ being Buck finally deciding to take the extended leave, to all of their surprise. ‘It’ being Buck sleeping on his couch. Eddie starts every morning watching Buck teach Chris some new breakfast sandwich combo, the sunlight streaming in through the window turning them both golden so he couldn’t look away if he wanted to.
(And he doesn’t. It’d probably take nothing less than rapture for him to blink, and even then, Heaven could wait a few seconds.)

Eddie was.
Eddie’s brown eyes flashed behind his eyelids whenever he closed his own. His voice echoed in his head as he laid down to sleep. He imagined his sharp canines sinking into his throat every time he wrapped a hand around himself, biting into his knuckles until they bled to keep quiet.
He wanted. He craved. And that was his problem.
He knew Eddie better than anyone, and worse, Eddie trusted him.
Eddie trusted good ole reliable Buck, the best friend, the babysitter, the guy to call in a crisis. He didn’t know about the cavernous hole that housed a snaggled beast, hidden behind his organs, in a place Buck didn’t have a name. He didn’t know how fucked up and needy Buck was.
So, Buck did what he did. He plastered on a smile, was punctual to every movie night, joked with Eddie in between every call, and tamed the lonely monster that nipped at his heels, inching closer and closer every day to ripping open his carotid artery

This is the first fic I've written for 9-1-1 and these guys so I'm sorry if some things are a little OOC.
Buck is the ultimate babygirl and you can't tell me otherwise. It's okay though, Eddie likes it.Eddie moved to Texas. It's fine. Totally fine. Everything's normal.
Then Tommy happened. Then Maddie happened. And Buck's plans for full on denial don't work anymore.
With every call, text and FaceTime, Buck falls in deeper.
What he doesn't know though, is that with a little help from his sisters, Eddie figures a few things out.Who is Buck kidding? Eddie Diaz has owned him for seven years. Chris is his son. They are his life.
So, what's he to do when Eddie calls and starts sounding a lot like Buck's innermost thoughts?
If he's sleeping, don't wake him. If he's dying, DNR.
