Summary
Donnie, Raph and Mikey grew up in the shadows of New York, trained by their sensei and father to become ninjas - and were now using those skills to fight aliens and an evil ninja clan. Things get complicated when said evil clan sends two new ninjas after them and it turns out that one of them is a mutant turtle like them.
Basically, Leo somehow ends up up being raised by the Foot and when he suddenly shows up again, drama ensues as the truth slowly unravels.
(Takes place around the episodes 14 and 15 of season 1.)

Leo slumps back in his seat, careful not to knock his healing shell, his mouth manages to curl itself into a small, fleeting smile.
“When did you become so grown up?” He says, and there’s supposed to be some humor to his words but it seems to fall flat, what with the way he watches his brothers shoulders stiffen, his whole body bristling before he seems to roll it away with a shake of his hands, he tends to the soup a moment longer before he answers him.
An abrupt, sharp laugh expels out of his brother, seemingly forced, he swallows it down before he turns to face him, this time with a bowl of steaming soup.
“Plenty of opportunities so far, dude,” he tells him, a brief melancholy look flashing across his face before he’s quickly rearranging it to something more neutral.

“Hey,” Leo’s hand is quickly hooked under his arm, his fingers unknowingly press against a newly forming bruise. “You okay?”
Mikey nods. He can’t quite find his voice just yet, left somewhere in the bottom of his gut with the rest of his emotions. He feels really dizzy all of a sudden.
“Somebody get these guys some help!” Someone in the crowd yells out, thick with a Brooklyn accent. “Or, uh, a vet?”
Donnie is moving forward towards him. “You got two black eyes, dude.” There’s a hint of slight, naive excitement to his voice there. “We should sit down for a sec, huh?”
Raph is agreement. He doesn’t look so peachy, either.
“Come on,” Leo is leading them away from the crowd. Away from the applause he’s been so desperate for. He walks away from it all without once looking back.

Unbenounced to Casey, up above him on the rafters lay a mutant turtle clad in red, scrolling quietly through his phone as he listened to the repetitive sound below him.
This is probably Raph’s favourite hiding spot – before he built the nook, that is. He’d fallen in on complete accident the first time, but had come to enjoy the background noise of the New York City streets, the darkness of the abandoned gym. And then, a little bit later, he came to enjoy the buzzing of 80’s music mixing with his favourite songs on a JBL speaker that this violent human teen always brought with him late at night when he absolutely isn’t supposed to be here.
(We didn't get a mutant mayhem Casey, but my brain went: fine, I'll do it myself.)
