Summary
As much as he wishes it weren't so, life doesn't wait for him. The world doesn't stop spinning, not for him or anyone else. After a week, he drags himself back to class, ignores the sympathetic looks his professors give him, sits down in his usual chair and tries to filter out the deafening silence that drowns out their words. Tries to soak up knowledge he couldn't care less about, tells himself it's what she would have wanted for him and hates himself for it.
Nico doesn't talk. Doesn't lie to him that it will be okay. Doesn't make offers Percy shouldn't be thinking about, doesn't take him to see, doesn't tell him the verdict. He doesn't try to hug Percy, or distract him, or anything.
It's unfamiliar to be two again, but it's so easy to become familiar again.

Summary
Percy sighs, envious of how peaceful Nico looks out there when his own heart is in his throat every time he picks up his skateboard in this place. Then he realizes he’s probably been staring for a borderline creepy amount of time at this point, which is of course the moment Nico looks right back at him.
Percy feels a spike of… something in his chest, in that second of eye contact. Competition? Curiosity? Fear? Except, Percy doesn’t do fear. Doesn’t get scared, or nervous. Never backs down from anything, never quits, even midway through a trick he knows he's not going to land. It’s the one thing they get right about him on the news: Percy Jackson does not bail.
So he swallows it, and drops in.

It's been building all evening, really.
Or for years, maybe, depending on how you look at it.
There's a hickey on Nico's neck, barely visible, and it made Percy far more aggressive than he would've usually been, probably. The teasing certainly hasn't helped, just made his need to lay his own mark over it more intense.
Cover that pathetic attempt at a claim. As if Nico could ever belong to anyone but himself.
(Anyone but Percy, he wants to say. But that would only be a lie.)

Summary
Percy loved having Nico under him.
After so many years of running, chasing, Nico slipping between his fingers like the shadows he commanded, it felt good when Nico willingly let him pin him down.
Or: Nico gets winded easily while kissing, and Percy doesn't mind.

Summary
Waking up at the bottom of the ocean was not on Nico's bucket list. Trying to figure out why Percy was suddenly so clingy and possessive of him wasn't on there either.
