Summary
Eleven, with the help of the whole party, has finally killed Vecna, and they are ready to leave the Upside Down behind. But she soon discovers that the monsters in the Upside Down were not the real villains. With the military waiting for them just outside the Mac-Z, they must come up with a new plan if they want to have their happy ending.

Summary
The Party survived Vecna, but not unscathed. Hawkins is reeling from the Rifts splitting their little town apart. The military is descending in force, desperate to contain the situation.
Eleven deals with the residual trauma from California and her failure to stop Henry. Mike feels like he's drowning, and the only one keeping his head above water is being actively hunted by the US Government. Will can feel the Mind Flayer's influence testing him, looking for cracks in his armor.
