Summary
Severus’ summer is not going well. He has barely adjusted to the idea of the one and only Harry Potter joining Slytherin house, and definitely does not want to be dealing with the brat over the holidays. But it turns out that there’s more to Potter’s home life than he knows, and Severus might have to take a far more active role in the boy’s life if he wants to protect him; a role that he is painfully under-qualified for.

Summary
The summer Harry turned eleven, when he got the very first (and last) Hogwarts acceptance letter, Petunia, knowing how the wizarding world was, wrote a letter in Harry's name saying he didn't wish to attend.
No other letters came. Hagrid never came. Petunia and Vernon never gave him Dudley's second room. Harry never went to Hogwarts.
