In the open space between cities, Laudna has found her own sanctuary. Enough space to open her animal rescue, her dream, with plenty of area to expand into if she wants to. A wonderful staff, many of them having become close friends. A home of her own, something she'd never truly had.
Then one day she meets a vet during an emergency and all of it gets so much better. A kind of love she'd never anticipated coming into her life, a person she didn't even know she wished for, and a sweet little pup who brought them together on that very first night.
