Summary
Dana had known since Cassie started her residency at PTMC that eventually they would end up exposing their relationship. She just didn't imagine that, after a difficult morning and a lack of communication between her and her wife, they would end up becoming the center of The Pitt's betting. And even less how her day would unfold from there.
Or, the one where PTMC places bets to figure out what the hell is going on between Dana and Cassie.

Summary
“Cassie,” Dana says, one corner of her lips lifting. She lets the cigarette drop to the ground, puts it out with an efficient twist of her ankle. “Let me take you home.”
“Oh,” Cassie says, and then blushes, feeling slow, clumsy. “Yeah, okay.”

Summary
For Carol, the next best thing to being good was being put in her place. If she couldn’t allow herself surrender, too preoccupied with her worthiness to let go enough to succumb, then she’d let Helen make her.
Helen scoffed, scowled for a split second that stretched. Then, movement, “Brat.”
Pain, sharp and biting. Carol’s cheek stung, smarted in the shape of Helen’s palm. Carol whimpered like she might cry, and maybe even felt tears well, but there was no true upset. Not like this.

Summary
In general, Carol has decided she doesn’t like to think about the what-ifs, or possibilities. Possibilities are different now, more concrete. If Carol wanted, Zosia would move them to a remote Mediterranean island and wear see-through linen dresses and make her endless gin cocktails and let Carol fuck her on a sun lounger until neither of them could stand. They could do that for as long as it took for the hive to figure out how to get Carol to join them without using her stem cells. They could do that for as long as it took Carol to figure out how to stop them from wanting to do it at all.
The prospect of it is exhausting.Series

Summary
Cassie walks toward her with that steady, overconfident walk of most doctors Dana knows, like she already knows the outcome of any argument she gets herself into. "Come to the couch. Unless you're saying you don't want a massage."
Dana's body reacts before her brain can, anticipation blooming low in her stomach and a softening of her tense muscles that she hasn't earned and doesn't know how to accept. Dana scoffs to hide the provocative images that immediately come to mind. "Hon, you don't have to do that."
