“How… do you feel about friends with benefits?” Soobin asks quietly.
Yeonjun frowns. “Like, as a general concept? Or…”
“Yeah, in general, I guess,” Soobin says, fiddling with the corner of the blanket. “Do you think it works? Do you think it’s a bad idea?”
Yeonjun looks up at the ceiling for a second as he tries to figure out how to answer. He’s had friends-with-benefits situations in college, but that was an entirely different scenario. Now that they’re real adults, his gut response is different. There are too many variables, too few friendships that have survived into adulthood for him to really consider it.
“It depends on the friend, I guess,” he finally says. “If I was one-hundred-percent sure that nothing would go wrong, that it wouldn’t ruin the friendship, then sure. I value my friends too much to really risk it just for sex, though. It would have to be someone I really trust.”
