The manor on the hill had once been white, gilded and pristine—or at least, that was what the elders told them. It was once a grand house for a noble family whose name was lost to time. Now, it loomed black and broken, its walls veined with ropes of ivy that writhed like grasping fingers, shutterless windows gaped open, and even the distance between their stone cottages and the pathway to the hill was haunting rather than comforting.
That was what Changbin had grown to know. Just that image of the manor, far enough that it was only a daunting presence in the corner of the sky, but close enough that the manor was the village’s problem.
When storms rolled across the valet, lightning always seemed to strike there, painting the manor in stark, merciless light before it plunged back into endless shadows.

Every ten years, when the moon turned red, the manor on the hill demanded a virgin sacrifice. This decade, Changbin was chosen.

Seungmin finally lifted Felix into his arms, the laptop falling safely onto Jeongin’s bed as the two laughed.
“You’re such a pain in the ass, you know that?”
Felix giggled, relishing in the feeling of the younger’s firm arms around his waist and his stomach pressed against an unexpectedly hard chest. “You choose to deal with me.” Felix kicked his feet petulantly, like a child.
Seungmin couldn’t control the smile on his face. “Sure, I do.”
Jeongin groaned. “God, I’m in single hell.”

At the end of it all, Minhyuk stands at Eunkwang’s side, waving brightly at the kids as they bow their way into the darkness. “He’s ten years younger than you.” He says mildly.
Eunkwang makes a strangled noise, somewhere high in his throat.
Minhyuk’s expression doesn’t waver in the slightest, even once the other two vocalists are well out of sight. “You totally want him to fuck you.”
“Listen,” Eunkwang starts, and then stops, making that same strangled noise again. He buries his face in his palms. “Oh my God, what is wrong with me, I’m like a fucking old pervert.”
“You’re not a pervert.” Minhyuk soothes, patting him on the arm. “Just old.”
To his credit, he doesn’t try and dodge when Eunkwang whirls around to punch him in the throat.
