“Talk to me, Matt. Talk to me.”
There was a long pause before Matt pressed his head against Foggy’s chest, right where his heart sat.
“Trying to hear my heart?” Foggy joked, trying not to be weird out, or maybe even somewhat flustered, but the sudden influx of affection that he was receiving from his roommate.
But the words that left Matt’s mouth next were words that Foggy hadn’t expected to hear at all.
“Foggy, I can’t hear you.”
Or: While at Columbia, Matt loses his hearing. Foggy is the only person he wants to save him.

Matt didn't like the Avengers. There were a total of 2 that he allowed himself to be around. But, Foggy convinced him to go to a meeting as a representative of Hells Kitchen to ensure nothing happens to his city.
He didn't expect Steve Rogers to accuse him of being an ableist. Nor did he expect the others to agree with that assessment so easily.

Summary
Spider's very first Tsaheylu was with Varang. It was terrible, despicable, and caused him only pain - nothing like a Tsaheylu is supposed to be, especially not someone's first. Jake didn't know nearly enough about how Spider had suffered while they'd been separated, and, regrettably, he probably never would, but his children were always brave enough to voice the things that Jake was too much of a coward to say.
“Dad,” Tuk said, looking at Jake with her hand wrapped around Spider’s wrist. “Can you do Tsaheylu with Spider? He says the first time was really bad, because it was with Varang, and she didn’t do it right. But you’ll do it right, so do you think you can do it with him, so he knows what it feels like when it’s done with someone who loves him?”
And, well, how could Jake possibly say no to all four of his remaining children, whom he loved with all his heart?
