Since moving to Portland Row Luxury Apartments, Lucy's life had been fucking amazing.
She lived with her best friend (who just so happened to be her publicist) on the penthouse floor of one of the nicest flats in Marylebone, she had her own exhibit in the London Museum of Modern Art, and she truly couldn't imagine her life getting better.
Unfortunately, she never considered that her life could get worse.
Closing her exhibit was hard enough. It was her ultimately her choice, she'd wanted to make room for the next aspiring artist, but god, it was emotionally exhausting. Auctioning off her pieces, speaking with dozens of reporters about how sad she was to see them go, watching them strip the walls of the LMMA... All of it compounded into something that felt like strangers poking and prodding at an open wound.
So when her neighbor throws an impromptu rager on one of the worst nights since closing, damned if she wasn't about to go tear him a new one.
Only problem? He's just about the most charming person Lucy's ever met. And bloody handsome.

Luke Patterson was arguably the most popular guy at Los Feliz High school. Shining star of the music program and widely regarded as the most successful, considering he’d played the Orpheum just last spring. He and his band were seeing clear skies to stardom. Until one of his bandmates stole all of his songs, changed his name and fucked off to Malibu High. Now he’s stuck in a band that feels incomplete and a high school he swore he’d drop out of once he got famous.
It wasn’t all bad, though. He was well liked by his peers and oddly enough his teachers, even though he couldn’t remember the last time he’d actually put in any effort into schoolwork. He got to sign autographs every day and he had the two best friends anyone could ask for.
But his favorite upside to Los Feliz wasn’t the taste of fame. It was seeing her everyday in the music room.
Even if she hadn’t sung a note in almost a year.
