Sequel to 'The Tunnel Rat'.
It had been months since 'the sewer incident'. He didn't like to talk about it. Nobody did. And nobody made a big deal anymore when someone other than Roy got volunteered for a rescue in a tight space.
"Cap," Roy spoke up before he could talk himself out of it. "I can go in." His hands clenched and unclenched.
Cap didn't even blink. "No, Roy, you can't."
"Cap-"
"We make rules for reasons." Cap's voice was flat and firm. "And there's a damn good reason for 'Desoto doesn't do tunnels'."

You know how old people always say stuff like "There weren't so many autistic people back in my day" and you know it's bullshit because they just weren't diagnosed, they just had quirks that everyone accepted? yeah... that.
So this is a self-indulgent sandbox au I'm going to write and play in.... in which Roy Desoto is one of those "not autistic" but totally actually autistic people that they talk about. And Johnny lives in his back pocket, so he totally notices and he loves every little new thing he learns about Roy because obviously he loves Roy and just hasn't realized or said it yet. Oh, and Joanne doesn't exist in this one.
There will be no big dramatic plot. I'm just going to add little slice of life ficlets whenever I feel like it.
