Darth Vader is the greatest threat to the galaxy since Maul. Obi-Wan is a Jedi on the outs with the Council, pretending not to be disturbed by the lack of meaning he's finding in the Galaxy and in the Force. Padme is a successful senator, still reeling from the events of her kidnap at nineteen. And Shmi and Anakin Skywalker? Oh, they disappeared from Tatooine ten years ago.
a.k.a- Palpatine gets to Anakin before Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon do. Obi-Wan and Padme deal with the fallout.

"Pink dawn soaks the sky, above the deserted parking lot, as Dean sits in the Impala, sleepless. A tan leaf rips itself away from the tree hanging above him, landing with a slap on the windshield. The emptiness in the seat beside him is a tangible presence, filling the car and Dean’s throat. He is seized by the sudden need for air, and stumbles out of the door in one motion, his knees cracking on the tarmac.
A swell of conflicting emotions threatens to snap his ribcage, leaving the fractured pieces of bone to embed themselves in his heart.
How could Sam just leave like that? Did all their shared life together on the road mean nothing? Did Dad, did Dean mean nothing to him?
Maybe Dean did (maybe he’s nothing, useless, a failure, a disgrace-)."

Anakin Skywalker fell to the dark side. His former master, Obi-Wan, followed him to Mustafar with hopes of reasoning with him and bringing him back. This resulted in a duel which ended in Anakin Skywalker, missing limbs and burning, being left behind for the Emperor to save and Obi-Wan Kenobi, having trained Anakin for the last fourteen years, losing a brother. At least, that’s how it played out in one universe.

Anakin kept ducking his head into each room, breaking into a run as panic grew in his chest, his mind racing back to the time she’d been kidnapped by Trandoshans. She had her knighting ceremony to attend tomorrow morning, surely she wouldn’t do anything that would risk her missing it? No, he knew nothing like that would have happened. If she’d been worried about something that dangerous, she would have come to him. Unless she didn’t trust him? He shook the thought away. No, she did trust him. He was sure would come to him if she needed help. But then why had she ran off?

The Clone Wars are over, Palpatine died under suspicious circumstances, Anakin is a Jedi Master, and Ahsoka has her knighting ceremony tomorrow. But… she disappeared? And Anakin is determined to find out why.
