They've gone through everything together; the acne, the awkward haircuts, prom dates. Growing up as weird teens together and finding solace in "hey, you're an outcast too!" now they're grown up and more normal, if you could say that. They branched out to people, had their fair share of makeovers and heartbreaks and all nighters. Yet they stay the same. Childe and Scara, Ajax and Kuni. Best friends.
They still had sleepovers and made fun of each other and had inside jokes that no one would get but them. They played videogames, they went to the movies. They still hung out together, like they had been doing for years and years.
And, well. Even after all of these years, Ajax was still hopelessly in love.
