Summary
The surface of the water above undulated and let morning light through, trickling down to dapple the sand with ever-shifting shapes of light and dark. The occasional patches of seagrass offered green to the mostly blue and white-yellow surroundings, and they too moved constantly. Schools of silvery fish and occasionally flashes of scales of brighter colors flowed with the water, and even the ground was active with life, crustaceans and other small scuttling animals moving quickly between patches of cover. Oso imagined a world where things were still would be a sad place to live. He rushed forward, his long tail whipping from side to side to catch up with his brothers.

This is definitely one of the best fanfictions I've ever read- It's a journey like a good book. Absolutely fantastic, left me in disbelief at how well done it was at multiple points. I can't say much more other than to do yourself a favor and read it.

It was something like being on a carousel: the ups and downs were more or less predictable, but it was still fun enough to keep riding. But maybe one day it’s not so much like a carousel anymore. Maybe it’s more like a whirlpool, and all he can do is reach out, reach out, and hope blindly for a way to pull himself back to land.
