To say your past was complicated would be an understatement. The story of your life started with the fact that your father - an international criminal - was the caring and supportive parent while your mother - who had a completely clean record - was the neglectful and emotionally abusive parent. It wasn't exactly that history that landed you in the BAU, but the effects of your past certainly helped. You were raised to be a fighter, but somewhere along the line...you seemed to have forgot that also meant fighting for yourself.
If you could go back, you would do everything different.

“You were just responding to what you learned, Vincent,” Hotch said quietly as he looked into the unsub’s eyes. “When you grow up in an environment like that, an extremely abusive, violent household, it’s not surprising that some people grow up to become killers.”
He stood up from his chair as law enforcement officers entered the interrogation room. As they unshackled Vincent Perotta, Hotch turned away to leave.
“Some people?” Vincent asked.
Hotchner turned back around. “What’s that?”
“You said some people grow up to become killers.” The man’s eyes were empty and his expression vacant.
Aaron nodded slightly, his gaze turning downwards. “And some people grow up to catch them.”

His migraines are a constant. The ache in his head, the shifting of the world around him, the knives of light digging into his skull. Something's very wrong with him, but every doctor he sees says the same thing - it's psychosomatic. Stress induced. But he's not crazy. He's not.
AKA: Spencer's migraines are getting worse and worse, yet he refuses to tell the team. Cue them finding out when Reid nearly passes out during a case.
