For a long six months, she’d been inside, first in the rejuvenation tank, then locked in her own mind. Her body had mostly remained inside the castle, hidden beneath Darcy’s helmet and armor, and it was obvious - she looked so pale, so unhealthy. But now she could do something about that.

When she’d called them from the castle, stepping away from Sasha and Marcy for a few minutes to do so, she’d promised them that would be her first course of action. When they came back from Amphibia, it had been everything she feared: tearful farewells, unsustainable promises to keep in touch, fear and anxiety building in her chest as she walked away…
But, as it turned out, it was completely unnecessary. While Marcy had been away, her dad had gotten a promotion, a last-ditch attempt by his employer to keep him there, so her family would actually be staying right here, in Los Angeles.
Now, four years later, with the social event of the year just around the corner, her two best friends want to set her up on a date. The only problem? Anne doesn’t realize that the person Marcy wants to ask out… the one she’s always wanted… is her.

This the Second Season of my Swap AU fic that started with A Witch in Wartwood. This is a Swap Start AU where the Calamity Trio all end up in each other's locations. Marcy Ends up in Wartwood, Sasha in Newtopia, and Anne near Toad Tower. If you haven't read the first season yet, this is probably not going to make a whole lot of sense.
