Summary
A childhood mishap gives Jon Snow a more intimate relationship with violence. In a world filled with tyrants, where cruelty is the rule and war the expectation, will this lowly bastard join the bloodbath or can he find something else worth fighting for? AU with no White Walkers and a slightly OOC Jon gallivanting all over the Seven Kingdoms (and beyond).

After learning of Rhaenyra's visit to the brothel with Daemon, Viserys punishes her by naming Aegon the new heir to the Iron Throne. Years later, Alicent, uncertain of her son's fitness for the throne, arrives at the motherhouse to reconcile with her long-estranged stepdaughter.

Summary
Later, after it was all over, Rhaenyra found that she remembered very little about the day of her mother’s funeral. She couldn’t recall conversations, the names and faces of the strangers and near-strangers who came to pay their respects, or even what she had done or where she had gone once the pyre stopped burning. When she tried to close her eyes and conjure up the last moment she ever saw her mother, all that came to her were other images, other feelings: the way the cold wind whipped her tear-streaked face; the distance her father placed between himself and everyone around him; Daemon’s low voice in her ear; and, most vividly of all, the weight of Otto Hightower’s hand on her shoulder, grasping her quickly but firmly as he walked past her and back toward his children.
It was strange. He had never touched her before. He had never paid any real attention to her at all. She had seen his probing gaze directed at her father, at her uncle, at Alicent, but never at her. And yet that day he chose to acknowledge her, and she was so grateful to be acknowledged at all that she never thought to ask him why.

Summary
SUMMARY: All Brienne ever wanted was to be a respected knight and serve a just king. The Gods, however, have a different plan for the Lady of Tarth. She must bring together their warriors, weapons and wisdom to defeat the Night King and Army of the Dead. The sworn sword will become the most powerful instrument in the Game of Thrones. (AU after episode 4.10)
This is my take on how the clues already in the TV show (supplemented with the Wiki) can be interpreted by our heroes to create a believable motivation and logical defeat for the Night King and the Army of the Dead.
Chapter 82:
Brienne barely resisted the urge to shake her head at Griff’s audacity and maneuverings. He had come to King’s Landing, all those weeks ago, prepared for kingship. He had a plan to prove his claim to the Dornish throne, an army to secure his hold over the southern kingdoms, and now a strategy to tighten his grip on the Riverlands.- Language:
