Sloane stares at him. “What are you doing?”

Sloane doesn’t want to go to sleep.
Her dreams have been getting worse and worse lately, but she hasn’t told anyone. She can’t tell anyone. It doesn’t matter that Director Sterling is dead now; she can’t tell anyone about how he treated her, not even Agent Sterling. Agent Sterling knows a little bit of what happened, but she doesn’t know the big picture. She doesn’t know about the last time the director came over to the house, because only Sloane knows about that. She was the only one to see him.
