When the man leans in to kiss him, Hudson closes his eyes. The guilt doesn’t stop him. It’s there, gnawing like a warning, but he silences it. He’s already chosen this. Chosen the thrill, the distance, the thing he cannot name in front of Connor.
Hudson doesn’t think of Connor when he slides his hand over the small of the man’s back. He knows he should feel remorse. He knows he’ll have to face the consequences, whatever they may be. But not tonight. Tonight, he lets himself fall apart into something messy, something human, something unrecognizable even to himself.
