Shouyou giggles above her, and Atsumu looks up, her head feeling fuzzy as if she’s underwater. “You can, you know,” she says playfully, placing her hands on Atsumu’s shoulders and adjusting in her lap. Atsumu’s eyes get drawn away from Shouyou’s when she moves, because her chest jiggles. “Maybe not the suffocation part though, I think I like you too much for that.”

Hinata smiles— golden and warm as if Atsumu is the only person left in the universe. There’s a dimple on his left cheek, a thin-liner muji pen clasped between the fingers of his left hand, and a casual confidence in the way that he rises from his seat to greet him. He’s a lot shorter than Atsumu had imagined.
He smiles, and Atsumu knows that he’s fucked.
