Summary
“C’mon Johnny, think warm thoughts for me, yeah?” Soap answers with a loud chattering of his teeth as Ghost pulls back the covers and slides him under them. He spends the next several minutes searching the cabin for every possible blanket or spare scrap of fabric to pile on top of Soap.
Ghost shifts, the huge wolf climbing into the bed by Soap's side. Soap threads his fingers through the fur of Ghost’s neck, pulls him close and buries his face into Ghost’s coat. Ghost shuffles closer, presses them together firmly and suppresses a shiver of cold when Soap’s cold skin aligns with him.

Summary
There’s a shake in his hands as he closes the panel, pats it lovingly and gives one last look across the cockpit. The comm crackles to life right on time:
“Receiving you Soap, can’t talk right now though, little tied up.” And he is, he needs to finish packing his meagre possessions into the hold of his (finally) fully functional ship.
[Och, too busy for me? What’ve ye got a hot date?]
“Summat like that, yeah.” Ghost answers and is met with a long, long silence.
[Oh] Soap says again, his voice strained and overly chirpy [good for you Ghostie, getting out there] but he doesn’t sound like he thinks it’s good for Ghost at all.

Summary
Ghost’s virginity is frankly nobody’s fucking business. His entire personal life is nobody’s fucking business and that attitude had served him fantastically, don’t get attached, don’t get more than superficial, and it won’t ever be an issue. By the time he’d got through the worst of his self isolation he was thirty and a virgin and simply had no idea how to go about having that conversation with a potential partner, hadn’t wanted anyone enough for it to be worth it.
Until now, until Soap.

There’s no explanation for it, at least not one he’s willing to acknowledge, why Soap’s blood smells so much better than anyone and everyone else Ghost has ever met. Has since the moment he walked onto base. Was probably the driving force behind Ghost finally caving and allowing Johnny to cultivate the fragile friendship that exists between them.
If in his weaker moments Simon has sometimes wished that it could extend beyond friendship, stray into a slightly riskier territory of fraternisation and feelings, well, that’s nobody’s business but his, and he doesn’t intend to inspect it too closely.

Summary
Ghost has been able to read minds for as long as he can remember. At 15 he finally learns to control his power, he turns it off mostly, tired of the vicious, unkind truth of humanity being hurled at him every moment of the day. At 16 Simon shuts off his power completely.
The first and only time Ghost loses that control starts in the Humvee (and ends in Soap's bed).
