Summary
What if Anthony Bridgerton turned down Edwina Sharma in Season 2 episode 1? What if Penelope Featherington was the one he wanted?
Penthony needs more fics, so I'm going to write them.

Summary
My dear Miss Featherington,
I hope you will forgive the liberty of this letter. I wished to tell you, how much I owe you. Do you recall that afternoon in the gardens, some months past? You were waiting for my sister, the late sun caught in your hair. I remember thinking you looked otherworldly.
I sketched you then. I did not intend to; my hand acted before I considered the impropriety. I continued to do so on other days, from other angles, always unseen—until you noticed. I expected embarrassment, perhaps reproach. Instead, you regarded the drawing as something of value. You said it was beautiful, and encouraged me to pursue what moved me.
No one had spoken to me in such a manner before. My family indulges my drawing as a harmless pastime. You were the first to suggest it might be more. That it might be mine. It was shortly after that I resolved to apply to the Royal Academy of Arts, having concluded my studies at Eton. I do not presume greatness, but I am choosing my own path.
For that resolve, I thank you.
Yours most sincerely,
Benedict Bridgerton.Bookmarked by quartz_geode

Summary
There’s a folding table set up outside Classroom C lined with bakery boxes. Real ones. White cardboard tied with twine. Blueberry muffins the size of softballs. Croissants. Something glazed and citrusy. A cardboard carrier of coffee cups.
A cluster of recruits hover nearby, trying to look casual and failing.
Eddie glances at their academy shirts, still too stiff from being new. “What’s the occasion?” he asks.
One of them straightens. “Oh—it’s Muffin Guy.”
Eddie pauses. “I’m sorry. It’s who?”
“Muffin Guy,” another recruit says, like that should mean something.
Eddie waits.
They exchange looks.
“They say he brings stuff the first week,” someone explains. “Not every day. Just… sometimes.”
“He an instructor?” Eddie asks.
A few shake their heads. “Nah. He’s a firefighter.”
“From where?”
Shrugs.
“He never says.”

Bookmarker's Notes
Buck has been going to the LAFD Academy to encourage trainees in quiet little visits to make sure no one would ever be alone at graduation. He collects strays into a solid found family and in the process realizes he's found his own family. Eddie discovers this secret of Buck's and begins to integrate them into the 118 family.
This story is amazing. It is the softest, hurt/comfort, nurturing, FoundFamily.
