    Summary

    "Good evening, Baldur's Gate."

The voice was flirtatious, like the person was trying to seduce everyone present with those four words alone. Before Gale had any time to process the sudden butterflies in his stomach, there was a massive uproar from the assembled people as a man walked out onto the stage. He was almost sure he'd stopped breathing, his eyes fixed avidly on the pale elf as he took a deep, flourished bow and grinned out at his adoring audience. Under the stage lights, Astarion's silver hair shimmered like the moon in a clear sky and his eyes stood out red, contrasting with dark eyeliner.

Gale suddenly understood why this band was called Five Inch Fangs.

Astarion raised a hand and then slowly brought his finger to his lips, and the noise ceased. The amount of power that was held in that simple gesture, in the way red eyes scanned over the crowd in silence, was enough to make Gale's legs feel weak. He prayed Wyll couldn't tell just how much he was gay panicking, and also hoped his cheeks weren't as red as they felt.

    Summary

"Can you pick any pocket?" Gale asks, a plan coalescing in his mind.
"I am yet to find one safe from my wandering hands," Astarion answers, wandering those hands suggestively through the air. "Why?"
"Can you put things back in pockets?" Astarion looks at him, nonplussed.
"No, why would I want to do that?"

Gale was one of the greatest stage illusionists of the Edwardian era, but now he spends his days debunking séances hoping to hear a message from his late partner, Mystra. When the mysterious medium Minthara, Queen of Spiders, invites him to the Estate Party at her country house, Gale cannot resist the chance to reveal her for what he believes her to be: a fraud.

Meanwhile, Astarion has an infernal secret and has spent decades isolating himself from humanity. But when a strange man in a cemetery piques his curiosity, he soon finds himself caught up in a scheme that he is certain will fail. By the time he realises the true danger to himself and to Gale, it is altogether too late.

Because what Gale does not know but Astarion knows all too well is that Minthara has friends in very low places who are not about to let meddling magicians get in their way.

    Summary

It all happened so fast. First, he was fine; then there was the screaming, and the noise, a tadpole was forced into his skull on a mindflayer ship which was attacked by demons in Avernus, then they crashed on the sword coast.

Canon Divergent AU based on that fic I made where Astarion has a no-good, very bad, shitty time with Cazador.

    Summary

Quick even on the wet stone shelf, Astarion skittered over and planted a hand on that fragile chest, shoving him into the wall. In lieu of speaking his disdain he hissed, baring twin rows of needle-sharp teeth.

    Stay, stupid.

    Oh.

His human's eyes went so wide when Astarion did that, so wet, and somehow they were even prettier. So too did that fluttering heart kick up under Astarion's palm as brittle ribs swelled with heavy, heaving breaths, even as the rest of that whiskered face remained stubbornly impassive.

A pleasant shiver coursed through Astarion's body and pooled low. Like swimming through a cold spot, the chill clinging in his wake. Something deep, hungry, essential within purred, so very pleased to see such a willful creature cowed, attentive, and in spite of his best efforts, afraid.

The rest of Astarion rather liked it too.

Astarion's existence is simple: eat fish, collect trinkets, and always listen when the master calls. After centuries of dragging sailors down into the dark, it only takes one fateful encounter to remind him of something long-forgotten: he was not always a monster.
