Summary
Alma Bonnet is a newly-thirteen, bold and intrepid child, and in the process of coming into her own as a teen, she has stowed away on her father's pirate ship.
When Alma is discovered, now a many-weeks-long journey away from Barbados, wearing a fake beard and clothes that are much too big for her, Ed and Stede must change their plans in order to return her back home, going from fierce pirates to unwitting caretakers.
Alma's unique charm, wit, and child-like sense of adventure brings out a softer, more protective side in Ed and Stede, who struggle between protecting Alma from the more dangerous aspects of pirate life and letting her find her burgeoning independence.
Alma's presence makes Ed and Stede reflect upon their own childhoods, and reminds them that "coming of age" never really stops.

Summary
Arts and crafts day goes extremely awry when Stede, Alma, Louis, and Lucius are somehow pulled from 2025 into the old oil seascape they embellished together. Unfortunately, what they added to the waves was a 1717 pirate battle surrounded by vicious hungry sea monsters.
Now Stede's the captive of a mouldy maniac, spared from threats of gruesome torture only as long as he keeps sharing all the Mozart and Bach he can remember from the future, while Lucius and the kids were saved from becoming sabre-toothed shark poo by the crew of the legendary Blackbeard, who is really nothing like the stories.
Sometimes you find your family in very unexpected places. And sometimes a mutiny and a velvety suit help.

Summary
Stede Bonnet has gone through his life behaving. When his father passes he decides that it's time to take his life in his own hands and that's how he finds himself at the Queen Anne Clinic. Summary
Edward Teach leads the world's best epidemic investigation team, but it's getting to be a bit of a grind - every case seems to be the same - and he's bored out of his skull. When Stede Bonnet, a staff scientist with the CDC, alerts the WHO to a possible disease outbreak in the United States, Ed's team is sent to look into it. As far as first impressions go, Ed thinks that Stede's an incompetent idiot, and Stede is convinced that Ed's an arrogant ass. They're in a race to figure out what the virus is, where it came from, and how to stop it - a task that's made more difficult when the hosts of a popular YouTube conspiracy theory channel claim that the virus was created in a lab and released on purpose.
But just because something is a conspiracy, that doesn't mean it isn't true.
