Summary
Kamado turns his nose up, snatching the demon’s kimono from the ground. He thumbs it with a kind of care long lost amongst the demon slayers, like it’s something special. “They were still human, once. Those remains deserve to be buried.”
“You’re too soft. Softness gets one killed in this line of work.” Giyuu responds.
Kamado’s lips thin. “It’s a good thing I’m not a slayer, then, Tomioka-san.”
Or; Tomioka Giyuu and the Kamado siblings meet under snowfall, air rancid with blood, teeth gnashing and metal gleaming. Hatchet in trunk, hand in hand, they descend the mountain together.
Alternatively; Where Tanjirou does not become a slayer, and Giyuu is the one to take him and his sister in.

He hesitates before pointing to Giyuu. “The original one.”
Giyuu blinks, pointing to himself, while Shinobu folds her arms across her chest. “My, I don’t quite like the sound of that. It makes me feel like a counterfeit.”
Giyuu and Shinobu—married, a little annoyed (but happily), and learning how to share everything... even their name.
