Summary
Just one conversation. That's all Gerri has agreed to. One conversation and she can forget all about Roman and her bullshit for the rest of her life. But then, it's the Roys. If she has learned anything about the Roys in her forty-year stint at Waystar, it's never just one conversation.

Summary
“Am I gonna have to talk you off the ledge? Because I really, really don’t feel like doing that, and it’s gonna be a PR nightmare if you do it this publicly.”
He can’t place the voice, at first, but the up-and-down rhythm of her pronunciation leaves no one but Matsson’s head of comms, Ebba something. As tradition commands, the guy left all the women in the fishing village for his conquest, only a single one trailing along for entertainment. There could be plenty worse people out here, and he can’t really think of anyone he would rather have with him right now. (Not that that says much.) At least she doesn’t seem like the type to gloat.

Summary
When he turns back towards the room, Tabitha has moved onto the carpet and is squatting next to the wet spot, hair hanging dangerously close.
“Did you … attempt to clean this up?”
“Attempt? I’m sorry, I think it’s pretty clear that I succeeded.”
“Sure.” Her voice is warm when she says it, and he can’t quite stand the look on her face.

Summary
Roman knows there’s something wrong with him. Despite everyone and their mother telling him otherwise, he is not actually a complete idiot. But admitting there’s something wrong is the first step to fixing it, right? Right?

Summary
"House said “You haven’t taken a risk since you were seventeen” and Eric froze as the lift doors slid shut, breath lying on his tongue like a film of oil."
Or: Foreman has wanted Chase for years. Quietly. Privately. Because he has a good life and parents who love him. He won't risk it all for his coworker. That would be stupid. And Foreman is very much not stupid.

Summary
The first thing Art thinks, when she sees Pat across two courts on the second day of the Challenger, is that her shorts are too long. She’s managed to avoid being penalized for it, if Art knows anything about her, by folding them up until she’s on the court and then pretending to fidget with a tag until they’re almost three inches over regulation. It fills Art with all the horrible and unexpected warmth of knowing someone for a long time. It always killed Pat to do anything the right way.

Summary
Patrick knows what’s about to happen a second before it does; he’s standing before he even fully registers it, his body reacting before his mind can catch up, shoving his chair backward so forcefully it topples to the ground with a crash. He ignores it, pushing his way towards the TV just as the horrible crack of Art’s shoulder popping resounds around the court, even louder than the ball had been. A second later, Art falls.
In which Art’s torn shoulder allows an opportunity for something else to mend.

Summary
Sam doesn’t ask, he tells Fred he’s sleeping in his bed. As soon as the lights are off, Sam holds him the same way he hugged him earlier that night. Not minding anatomy. Which limbs need to be where. When he thinks Fred’s fallen asleep, Sam cries. Fred feels his sobs vibrate against him. It’s almost as if he’s crying himself.
Just the show, basically. But Fredded.
