Before him, Himura is moving. One hand raises slowly, slowly, and encircles Aoshi’s wrist to guide the kodachi away from his body. The other curls around the back of Aoshi’s neck, fingers sliding through the dark hair there, and suddenly Himura is pulling him in--he has to pitch forward onto the balls of his feet to reach. Then his neck is gliding along the side of Aoshi’s, thorough and terribly intimate.
“If you let me,” Himura says, “I will help you.”
Kenshin finds Aoshi lost to grief and offers him a path back.
