The gun Dazai had been aiming with confidence just seconds before wavered in his grasp, his finger shuddering against the trigger, hesitating.
“Fuck. You.” Dazai snarled.
‘Chuuya’ let the crowbar fall from his grip, his stolen face twisted into an unsettling expression. Dazai winced at the earsplitting clang of the heavy metal striking the concrete floor; his finger flinched on the trigger, but he couldn't bring himself to pull it. Not with those eyes boring into him like that. Chuuya’s manic grin split wider across his cheeks, further mangling the face Dazai adored and despised so much.
Dazai felt sick.

He certainly doesn’t expect the words that falls like stones from Xie Lian’s lips.
“Yes, I have a beloved.”
Or Hua Cheng jokingly asks Xie Lian if he has a beloved and lot of things end up coming out.

Or Xie Lian can't bare the sight of Hua Cheng left looking so sad as he stands in his burning manor so, instead of returning to heaven with the others, he jumps back down to try to make things right. Only when he gets there he finds Hua Cheng deep in his own self loathing for having hurt Xie Lian.
