Summary
Continuation of the story Winter Soldier: Battlefield.
Ian stood on the lip of the ravine watching the train cut through the gorge far below. For eleven years he’d had his family and friends by his side. Eleven years of fun and games and enough crazy adventures to fill an entire library.
Then Doom came and the Avengers assembled.
They thought they’d won and that they’d finally found peace. For a while, that was even true, but shadows have a way of sneaking up on a person and what had been the smallest act of kindness had turned into their greatest mistake - betrayal from within.
He grit his teeth as he stepped off the edge of the cliff and dropped feet first to land on the roof of the train like his adopted father, Steve Rogers, and uncle, James Barnes, had trained him to do. If the rumors were true, this train was heading for the edge of the world and his only way home.
It was heading for The Beyonders’ Gate.

Summary
She didn't want to be a Dragonrider. She didn't want to be *Searched*. Why couldn't anyone understand that? All she wanted to do was teach and watch the stars with the watch-whers and have everyone just leave her alone. But no one had ever asked her what she wanted and if they had, they certainly didn't listen to her. So, here she was, flat on her back looking up into cool blue eyes with the stars glittering above them and the watch-wher's furious growling coming from behind her.
She knew coming home was a bad idea.

Summary
It's a long time coming. Being back here, staring down into a face I'd completely forgotten, yet knew. Traumatic brain injury is like that, I suppose. I wonder if I'm ready for this. If I'm doing the right thing, knowing the absolute shit-show that is my life. I sort of hate Sam for finding the file, and Peggy for letting it happen in the first place. Mostly, I hate myself. 83 years I've left it waiting. Left her, waiting.
The question is, do I man-up and press that button, knowing everything is going to change, or do I leave the past, in the past?

Summary
Jonna hissed at her like a housecat. “I don’t care if you are a Goddess, you try and touch my kid and I’ll blacklist every Isa in the Pacific Northwest that calls on us,” she threatened, and being as she was the head of Holde’s human clan in Washington and Oregon, Skaði knew she could and would, because they kind of hated each other.
“You keep your freak daughter, Hag,” Skaði swore, grabbing her bow and leaving.
“You have to know that’s not an insult to us!” Jonna screamed back.
“And she will never be Isa!” the goddess shouted over her shoulder.
“Fuck you!”

Summary
When a person turns eighteen a unique symbol called a soul bond appears on their skin in the form of a tattoo. The mark is supposed to lead you to your perfect mate. That one person in the world who completes every part of you. Sometimes it takes years to find them and some people never do. Others disregard the marks to fall in love the traditional way. Derek Hale never believed in them and that disbelief cost most of his family their lives. At eighteen his soul bond appears and throws everything he thinks he knows out the window.
Stiles Stilinski is not your normal teenager. He's literally magic wrapped up in flailing limbs and Adderall fueled ADHD energy, so the addition of a werewolf Pack and an evil tree doesn't really faze him. What does freak him out is when his magic goes haywire and he forms a soul connection to the grumpiest werewolf in existence. One he's sure wouldn't hesitate to rip his throat out...with his teeth! But Derek already has a soul bond and Stiles is only seventeen. There's no way the two could be related, is there?

Summary
After everything Scott and the others had done, after everything he’d endured, he didn’t know why he was here. What he should have done was put gas in the Camaro and gotten the hell out of Beacon Hills. Instead, he’s standing on the sidewalk in front of the Stilinski’s house trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with him.

Summary
Not opening his eyes seems like a pretty safe move, especially when the weight whispers into his ear, a faint hissed warning of “don’t move” breathed out in Derek’s low growl.
‘Oh, thank God,’ is his initial thought, because if there was one person on this wrecked-planet he could count on to try and get him not-eaten, it was his Sourwolf.

Summary
There's not much he can do but ask for forgiveness, pray that they're as smart as they think they are, and give everything that makes him, him to the universe. Because this? This was going to take a hell of a sacrifice, perfect timing, and knowing when to shut the hell up and let things play out the way they had to.
Stiles fucking hated it.

Summary
There was a boy sitting on the bleachers.
To be honest, Derek wouldn’t have given him the time of day normally, but there were a few things that struck him as odd. Firstly, there was still a good thirty minutes before school let out. Secondly, the boy was silently staring out towards the preserve with a pensive expression. Thirdly, he had no scent, and his heartbeat was non-existent.
Okay, maybe he should have led with that, but the point was, there was a boy sitting on the bleachers, and Derek seemed to be the only one who could see him.

Summary
Harmony and equilibrium, balancing of opposites, creating synthesis, healing.
She sits watching the orb within her embrace. It is both warm and cool, light and dark. Inside battle a dragon and a phoenix. Life and Death, destruction and rebirth. In some ways, the battle is never ending, a part of each other, they can never truly be destroyed. However, it doesn't mean they do not hurt. They tear at each other, cry at the pain, soothe each other with their magics and start again. A never ending cycle that seems counterintuitive and incredibly dysfunctional, but they know each other the best, which is why they can hurt each other the worst.
Still, when freed of the cages holding them prisoner, they light up the sky in a brilliant display of fire and ice. Of pain and passion. For they are two halves of the same whole, and were never meant to be apart. They call others to them. Flittering like fireflies, as fragile as they are strong, and together they weave a tapestry across the night sky.
For this is their true home and they were never meant to be caged.

Summary
There's a drum beat inside my head that won't stop. No one believes me. Everyone thinks it's the ADD or I'm lying, just like with mom, and Scott. Well, I'm not. I never was and now...now I can prove it.

Summary
“I am black snow,” she’d remind him over watermelon lemonade and the drone of cicadas. “Nowosław, he was our hope for this new place; our new glory.”
She would pat his cheek, her brows pulled down over amber eyes that looked so much like his own. “But you, little Mieczysław, you were your parent’s desire to cut away the evil in this world; their holy sword. I would have named you better – Moroz after my father, and the first frost.”
“Remember, little frostbite, the land responds to us. It is our job to protect it and the animals and plants that live on it. Never show what you are. What we can be. Here, they do not know Almas. They would not understand our role.” She slid a withered hand over his shorn hair, a necessity as puberty made the Almas in him come to the forefront. “We are the last children of the Black God…the wild ones, and the forests and mountains, they belong to us.”

Summary
Stiles is tired. He's tired of always having to defend himself to his so-called best friend. He's tired of being ignored and he's tired of the Pack never having his back.
So this is his line. He'd draw it in the sand, but all he has is a glitter sharpie.
It'll have to do.

Summary
Being introspective, seeking, solitude and withdrawing from the world, giving or receiving guidance.
They walk away from everything and everyone. It's not really a choice, even though she phrased it as such. 'You can right the wrongs in the world for me, little kitsunebi, or I can take from you what you stole; it's your choice.'
'Death or servitude. Not a big choice there,' he mutters angrily. He didn't survive living on a Hellmouth just to die now. He tugs the leather jacket closer and breaths in deeply to anchor himself. The irony of the act is not lost on him.
'If I do this,' he hedges, watching as the color drains from his father's face. 'Then I expect something in return. Something a Goddess of Life and Death should be able to give me.'
Izanami settles back within the uncomfortable hospital chair and smiles with a mouth full of fangs. 'A life for a life...interesting. Very well, little foxfire,' she croons. 'We have a deal.'

Summary
The mage sits alone, watching the stars glitter above and the world below bathe in the soft moon light and sighs, wistfully. She has neither friends nor enemies, for she must maintain the balance of the world. She sort of hates the balance though, and wonders what would happen, should she step-down from this lonely vigil and take up the sword and shield to defend those she might one day call family.
Then remembers that she doesn't have one, closes her eyes, and weeps.

Summary
"I would like a story," says the salamander to the Hierophant.
"And what would you like to hear, little one?" The words come slowly. Each syllable seems to be drawn from deep within, pulled up from an individual rootlet. The salamander is used to it, and patient.
"I want to hear how I may fly. I was content. And then one day friend Caterpillar said he was sleepy. He slept for a long time until I nearly forgot him. Until...yesterday a moth came to laugh at me. He laughed with Caterpillar's laugh, and with Caterpillar's voice he said he had had a dream of wings."
"Ah." The sonorous exhalation seems to go on forever. "Ah, little one; I am sorry. Caterpillar has that blessing. He may sleep and dream of flight. He weaves a silken ritual around his body, and then comes the day when that vision transforms him. You..."
"I wish to dream of flight too!" says Salamander very seriously.
"You may dream of it," says his friend and teacher, "I will not be the one to deny you divinity. But just know that your own divinity shall be attained along a different path than Caterpillar's. Do not relinquish your dream, Salamander."
