    As soon as Aubrey Thyme, psychotherapist, had opened her office door and seen her new client, Anthony J. Crowley, sitting in her waiting area, she was observing and assessing him. At first glance, she paid attention to the following:

    --His clothing was expensive and stylish;
    --He wore very strange but noticeable cologne;
    --His relationship to the seat he occupied could only, very loosely, be described as “sitting;”
    --He looked angry;
    --He was wearing sunglasses.

    What Aubrey Thyme, a professional, thought, upon first seeing her new client was: you’re going to be a fun one, aren’t you?

    Summary

    Rock ‘n’ Roll turned out to be Crowley’s favorite invention of the twentieth century. He may lie and say it’s the internet, but it’s not. He has always been a music fanatic, and it has informed his fashion choices for as long as there has been music. It wasn’t any wonder that the raucous genre of Rock’n’Roll took off after the shock and awe of the Second World War. Make all the arguments for “that’s just the way music was already headed” that you want, Crowley will tell you that wasn’t entirely true. After so much Death, People wanted to Live. Music, after all, has always been one of the greatest ecstasies of sentience. And Crowley is determined to make Rock the most popular music of the century.
    An unsanctioned bet with his angel certainly has NOTHING to do with it! ...But will he have the guts to collect if he wins?

    Summary

    While it's unfortunate for one’s car to break down in the middle of the countryside, the pretty-as-a-postcard Tadfield could hardly be considered the worst place Anthony J. Crowley has ever been. Of course, it doesn’t help that it looks like it hasn’t yet seen the turn of the millennia, let alone this decade, but perhaps that’s just what he needs as he crawls his way out of the Hell he’s endured for the past fifteen years. Maybe the last thirty, if he's honest with himself.

    Though he could do without the rain.

    When Aziraphale Fell happens upon him and offers him shelter from the storm in his little family-run antique repair shop, neither are expecting it to change everything. The angel with his white umbrella and his tartan bowtie doesn’t expect this mysterious stranger to be able to fill the timely vacancy in his shop or the quiet of his life, but they’ve both had experience in restoring once-beloved items back to their full glory.

    Perhaps Crowley hasn’t fallen quite so far that he wouldn’t fit in with the rest of Aziraphale’s ragtag team of eccentric restoration experts. And perhaps they may be able to turn that talent on themselves and each other, and seal the cracks in their own hearts.

    Summary

    Present Day: Newt and Anathema arrive at the bookshop with an unusual photograph from the Regency era. A photograph in which Aziraphale is clearly a woman. Crowley and Aziraphale attempt to explain the photograph's existence over several glasses of wine. The events of their (rather bizarre) tale, however, might not have unfolded exactly as Crowley remembers them...

    Regency Era: Aziraphale, undercover for Heaven (though he can't recall exactly what he's meant to be doing), is pretending to be a young woman named Angelica. Unfortunately, Angelica has accidentally gotten herself betrothed to the relentless and completely infatuated Parson Pickersgill.

    And the wedding's on Wednesday.

    Still, everything could be fine, if only Gabriel shows up on time to relieve Aziraphale of his assignment before it's too late.

    Otherwise, it might be left up to Crowley to save the day...

    It's like having a curtain pulled back on something he wasn't expecting to see. A surprise punch-and-judy at an up-scale restaurant, a lobster thermidor when he's ordered an ale.

    Crowley's gleefully trying to wrap his head around the fact that Aziraphale is speaking Polari. Because of course he is.
