Harriet Potter arrives at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as a small child; seemingly eleven years old, with bright green eyes which have seen something else, long white hair the colour of snow and all things cold and pale, and pointed ears. A fey child plucked from the home she had made for herself, and a child determined to get home in spite of the petty squabbles of the folk there – even if the humans insist that she has a role to play and try to stop her at each and every turn.
