Summary
After the death of her only relative, Rey moves to the city, intending to disappear and start her life again. On her first night there, a snowstorm grinds the city to a standstill, cancelling public transport and forcing everyone inside. Rey, obeying her long-held ritual of treating Friday nights like a personal car crash by going out clubbing, is too drunk to remember her new address, and finds herself stranded on the street as the weather closes in. Enter the club’s resident DJ, who takes her back to his to sleep it off for the night.
But then the snow keeps falling. Rey can’t get home and, raised by her uncle to count every penny, she knows the cost of a stranger’s kindness. A man who picks up a drunk, defenceless woman from the pavement could only want one thing…couldn’t he?

For the past year, Rey has been playing a dangerous game with Kylo Ren, deliberately putting herself in danger so she’ll be captured by the First Order and taken to an interrogation suite for the Supreme Leader’s attention. After all, the danger isn’t real; the Supreme Leader never hurts her unless she wants it, and she always gets away at the end.
Their game hasn’t gone unnoticed. Tava Ren, new leader of the Knights of Ren, has had enough of watching the First Order’s immense power—a power she wants—be wasted on a single prisoner who yields no useful intel.
Tava wants to teach Kylo a lesson: if he wants to take prisoners, he needs to keep them. And pain isn’t the only way to make them talk.

Ten months after the Battle of Crait, the Last Jedi and the Supreme Leader of the First Order have kept their bond tightly shut, allowing the seeds of their mutual rejection to blossom into hurt and anger. When the location of the Resistance base is revealed, Rey must make the ultimate sacrifice: the lives of her allies and friends, in exchange for yielding her freedom to the First Order, indefinitely.
But new threats soon lead to the discovery that Rey cannot draw lines between the Dark and the Light as easily as she once thought, and blur the boundaries between hatred, lust, and—eventually—a deeper bond than neither she nor Kylo Ren could have ever conceived of.

He’s a brave fighter, a good listener, he’s smart and funny and devoted and generous and good in bed – and he’s also, despite his genuine best efforts, still kind of an asshole. His mood is volatile on a good day. He has a hopelessly low threshold for frustration and tends to lash out at whoever’s nearby when it gets exceeded.
Sometimes the only way he can handle his anger is by walking away. And sometimes the only way Rey can keep loving him despite his temper tantrums is to go love someone else for a while.
