Elphaba blinks.
Glinda smiles sweetly.
“Elphaba,” she says gently, “darling—to come back from a smear campaign, you simply must have good press.”

Ryan’s surprise bordered on shock. Then he smiled and Chad felt like a weight lifted off his chest. He hadn’t noticed that Ryan uncrossed his arms, before he felt his fingers on his elbows, slowly moving upward, holding him closer. “Then kiss me.” -
