Love Languages Series Pt. 2: Physical Touch
They liked to be close, because they could be, without Heaven and Hell and themselves stopping them. They enjoyed each other's company across the room, sure, they loved one another in the quiet and the stillness. But they were allowed to show it now.

Love Languages Series Pt. 1: Words of Affirmation
Crowley knew Aziraphale loved him. He said it all the time. But there was something more that Crowley just couldn’t put words to.
He leaned his forehead against Aziraphale’s. Closed his eyes, furrowed his brows. “I know what you’re looking at,” Crowley said carefully. “But what do you see?” He paused. “Tell me what you see.”

Summary
Crowley and Aziraphale might speak in a difficult language all their own and they might leave thousands of important things left unsaid, but they almost never lie to each other. Not when it mattered.
The world was supposed to end today. Evidently, as Aziraphale and Crowley are walking up the stairs to the demon's flat, it did not.

Summary
There are other firsts. There’s the first night Crowley doesn’t close his eyes as they lay next to each other, and Aziraphale says, “Shall I ask, or wait?” And Crowley says, “Wait.”
And the night Crowley says, “You can ask.” And Aziraphale says, “may I hold you while you sleep?” That night they clutch each other tight enough to bruise, Crowley sobbing, soaking Aziraphale’s shirt with tears and Aziraphale rocking the demon in his arms. He whispers his love and reassurance for hours, until his voice is nothing but a hoarse whisper and Crowley exhausts himself to sleep with weeping.
