[Post-Trilogy, Post-Telltale game] Marty gets caught up in a renegade scientist's plot to obtain Doc's knowledge of time travel, resulting in him being sent back in time to 1932, suffering from amnesia. Back in 1986, Doc contends with his new, dangerous rival in order to find Marty--not yet aware that his 1932 counterpart is already one step ahead of the game. But unless the ripple effect kicks in soon, there may be dire consequences for the space-time continuum.

Doc was sprawled in the passenger seat, still dead to the world.
Marty just felt dead. He didn’t think he’d be any wetter if he had jumped into a pool fully clothed.
“How in the hell am I going to get you in the house?” the teen said now, looking at his young-old friend. “I barely got you in here. And I think that was more adrenaline that anything.”
Doc didn’t reply.
Marty leaned his head back, sighing deeply, then ran his fingers though his dripping hair. “You know, Doc, you’re the one that can always figure this stuff out,” he said, idly noticing how his voice was trembling, and wondering if it was because of cold, or fear. “You’d have some idea of how to transfer weight, using pulleys or wheels or some kind of hoist – “

No-one had ever said anything nice about his wings before. When his dad had seen them for the first time he’d said oh, Jesus Christ and walked out of the room. The first time they’d taken him to the doctor’s office the doctor had looked over his brand new stubby little wings and taken some measurements and said things like we’ll start you on a low dose of the medication and in about six months you can come back to be fitted for a harness. Kids at school said stuff like weirdo and freak of nature.
Yeah. He was content to sit there and indulge Doc and let him ramble on about evolution and skeletal structures. It wasn’t so bad.
Around 1% of the population has wings. Through the wonders of modern medicine, a mix of medication and specialised clothing can be used to conceal this aberrant feature until such a time as they can be surgically removed.
Marty found out, the hard way, that wings ran in his family when he was almost thirteen.
