It was nice to see his parents so happy.
Not that they hadn't been happy when he knew them, of course, but it was tough to match the joy of your wedding day. Part of him wished he had been old enough to remember it, instead of only old enough to make grabs at the alcoholic beverages his aunts and uncles were downing with reckless abandon. His tuxedo and matching eyepatch were cute, though. He could give the wedding that.
He lifted the photo gently in one hand, examining the man as if he would leap out of the photograph if he just looked hard enough.
His gaze drifted from the photo in his hand to the mirror on the wall, and for a second, the man was standing in the mirror.
But he wasn't, of course. It was just Jack.
