“The Day of Devotion is a festival that celebrates love. Love for one’s family, friends, and so on.”
“I… see.” Fimbulvetr does not understand love. Nor does she understand any emotions. She was made this way so that nothing could distract her from her goals.
“Isn’t it admirable that even while facing you, they manage to take time to celebrate these things?”
“It’s unwise. They are putting themselves at risk to celebrate a festival they will never celebrate again once I am through.”
“Admirable,” Alfaðör corrects. “Believing in the importance of love, even in such a dark time…”
“Admirable indeed.”
Alfaðör looks up at her, his eyes sparkling. “In fact, I could be considered your father in a sense, couldn’t I?”
“Parents bring life to their children. You brought life to me. Yes… in that sense, you could be seen as my father.”
“Excellent!” He claps his hands together. “Well then, why don’t we celebrate the Day of Devotion together… my daughter?” -

It’s good to know there’s at least one world out there where he’s still alive. Where he still has a chance at a different fate.

Those pale blue eyes glare coolly at her, and though they are enemies… somehow, it puts Fimbulvetr at ease.After that encounter, she aches with a curiosity she hadn’t thought possible.
Assessing… desire to see Nifl again.
Best means of achieving said desire: continue the winter of annihilation. Nifl will show up again in another futile attempt to defeat you.Assessing… Fimbulvetr should not “desire” things.

“Because,” Charlotte replies tersely, she has always relied most heavily on brute force. “I have more important things to preserve than my dignity.”
Camilla summons Charlotte to her chambers to discover what it is she's really after. A husband? Unlikely.

Bruno had a feeling that he knew what Alfonse was thinking; Bruno found his own read to be correct, as Alfonse laced his question with the faintest touch of a plea: “What are you searching for?” (Can you stay with me?)
He answered, matter-of-fact. This was not the right Alfonse for him; he was not the right Zacharias, either. “A cure.”
“We found one here.” The pitch was starting to construe itself within his mind — clear through the confidence that Alfonse was finding in his own quiet speech. “You can be cured here, Zach.”
