Gojo’s teasing comment seemed to die in his throat. He blinked, not sure if he heard her right. “What?”
Utahime twirled her spoon around in her cup. “I plan to settle down soon. I’ve been thinking a lot, and.... everyone’s nagging me to marry so…” she paused, looking up at Gojo carefully. I’ve just been... thinking,” she finished nervously.
His insides seemed to grow a degree colder with every word that trailed out of her lips. Dread infused him as he stood there stiffly, unsure what to do or say or think. The thought of Utahime getting married to another... panic seized at his throat.
She raised an eyebrow. “Well? nothing snarky to add, Gojo?”He opened and closed his mouth, seemingly unable to form words. Eventually, he swallowed and plastered a grin on his face. “Who’d wanna marry you, Utahime?”
‘I would,’ he thought.

Summary
Andre didn't know what to do for a moment. All his mental walls, all the healing he'd attempted to do, suddenly lay in ash, completely deteriorated around him. In just a few short words, this man had been able to completely disarm him, leaving him utterly defenceless. It was as if Cal had reached back into his very being, wrapping around him like a snake, all spindly roots and jagged thorns, trying to suffocate and drag him under while bleeding him out. He was like a curse Andre couldn't shake, a demon which had latched onto his soul and was destined to feast and gorge itself on anything peaceful until all that remained was him.
